WHAT IT RUNS
A full-size fridge for about two days on a single charge, plus lights, fans, phones, laptops, wifi, Starlink, a CPAP and a TV. It will also carry a catchment UV sterilizer around the clock, which is the load most people forget about. Two panels put back 3.2 to 5.8 kWh a day depending which side of the island you are on, so in normal sun it keeps up with your essentials indefinitely.
ONE HONEST LIMIT
This is not the kit for a catchment pump. A half-horse pump wants more than 2,000W to get started and this unit is rated 1,800W. Its power-lifting boost only helps resistive loads like heaters, not motors. If you need to move water, start with the Apex 300 instead.
WHY TWO PANELS AND NOT ONE
The Elite has a single solar input and it regulates its own input current, so two panels wired in parallel are safe and are what we install. On a clear day two panels harvest about the same as one, because the unit caps the input. On a grey day they harvest roughly double, and grey days are exactly when your battery is low. That is the whole reason we do not sell a one panel kit.
